Vera Wang

Every little girl dreams about her wedding. I did. Yes, even me. Now that I am a twenty-something, tons of my friends are planning or having (or already had) weddings. Most of them bought their gowns at David's Bridal. Blech. If I wanted to be a boring, cookie-cutter bride, then I would buy a gown there too. However, I don't want to be a blah bride. I want to be a fabulously-out-of-control-golddigger bride, and that is why I want to wear a Vera Wang wedding dress someday.

I'm not really sure what I'll do if I never get married. Perhaps, I will just buy myself the dress anyway. Vera Wang is fantastic. Not only is she Asian (Asian=fabulous), but she makes dresses that are ethereal and unique. And who doesn't want to look ethereal and unique? (Unless you are a skank and want to look slutty in front of your pastor.)

Now, I realize that Vera (yes, we are on first name basis) is more couture than body-conscious, and that perhaps I may not look good in one of her flowy dresses. This is why I am also open to other designers, like Monique Lhuillier. If I ever do get hitched, I hope that mermaid dresses are out of style. I know that I am too short for them. Although, I really loved the Amsale mermaid-style that Sandra Oh (AKA Christina Yang) almost got married in on Grey's Anatomy.
Doesn't she look gorgeous?
